Welcome to The Luton & District Voluntary Support Group

We are here to offer you support.

The Group was formed in 2003. A membership who meet on a regular basis and are able to share their experiences. With other members giving them confidence and advice.

Our objective is to support and educate local people of all ages who are living with diabetes, our work also involves campaigning for the interests of people with diabetes within our community. Another objective is to fund raise for local related projects and aid the continuing research and development work undertaken by Diabetes UK.

By belonging to Diabetes UK who have the largest membership of any national charity we are able to bring pressure to bear on those responsible for our care and treatment and have available a vast amount of information in the form of literature relating to every facet of our condition be it treatment or diet.

Fund raising events are arranged by an active committee with input and support from our membership that is enabling us to generate funds for local support and national research projects related to diabetes.

You are welcome to attend any meeting or event. Please come along and join us in our efforts, you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Our meetings take place at the Comet, Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Lewsey Road, Luton at 7pm every 2nd Tuesday.
